Dixie Turns 30+

Dixie Dandelion is not only a rootin’, tootin’ cowgirl, but a Taurus as well.  Born on April 25th , Dixie is down to earth, sometimes dramatic, always charismatic, solid, a tad nuts, loyal, compassionate, and spontaneous.
In honor of Dixie’s 30+ birthday, the Dandelion gang threw her a birthday party complete with a dandelion cake, fuzzy navels, and  . . . rifle shooting!
Every cowgirl and cowboy worth their salt has a trusted, loyal sidekick.  The Lone Ranger had Tonto.  The Cisco Kid had Poncho.  Roy had Dale. Marshall Dillon had Chester and Festus, and so on so on.  So, it is only fitting that Dixie has a sidekick as well.  In this case, however, Dixie has more than one: Deadeye Morrill, Bigfoot Pam, Doc Ned, Booger County Patty, The Duke, Kim, and many more.
The point being, Dixie would be nothing without her gang.
Thanks Dandelion Gang for a great 30+ birthday!

Think outside the Box

On Saturday, April 9th, my first official book signing for Soldiers From the Mist was at Atlanta Bread Company in Fayetteville, Arkansas.   A table right inside the front door was reserved for me and ABC donated a plate of cookies to help entice customers to come, sit a-spell, and talk about my book.  Kudos to Scott Bailey and the crew at Atlanta Bread for treating me like a New York Best Selling author.

This Saturday, (April 16) quite a different book signing took place.  My friend, Fairy Rochelle threw a spring party and set up a table for me.  Every one was very supportive, and I sold quite a few books.  Thank you Fairy and Koury!
Book signings and parties can happen any where and any time.  As authors we must remember this and strive to think outside the box, even if it means wearing bunny ears!
